Actor Robert De Niro is being sued by Alexis Barry, the nanny that cared for his 11-year-old son. DeNiro’s nanny claims that he owes her more than $40,000 in overtime work.
Alexis Barry claims DeNiro owes her for 750 hours of overtime and that she never even took her 10 vacation days. She worked for De Niro and his wife Grace Hightower back in 2006 and was fired 10 months later after she gave her notice to leave the job.
The court papers were filed on Friday at Manhattan’s state Supreme Court. De Niro’s spokesman Stan Rosenfield said he couldn’t comment because he hadn’t seen the lawsuit.
