Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin Co-Host 2010 Oscars

Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will be co-hosting the 2010 Oscars. According to the statement of producers Bill Mechanic and Adam Shank, “We think the team of Steve and Alec are the perfect pair of hosts for the Oscars. Steve will bring the experience of having hostd the show in the past and Alec will be a completely fresh personality for this event.”
The actors were equally pleased with the announcement. Martin was the host of the 73rd Academy Award, performance that earned him an Emmy Award, and is back for the 75th event, while Baldwin has never yet faced the major event.
In 2003, Baldwin was nominated for an Oscar as “Best Supporting Actor” in “The Cooler”. In the very same year, he appeared as a presenter at the Academy Awards.
These two will have to work hard to match the performance of Hugh Jackman did last year.
