NFL Hall of Fame line backer Lawrence Taylor was apprehended for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, a second-degree misdemeanor, after colliding with a vintage vehicle in Miami on Sunday.
Taylor, who recently competed on Dancing with the Stars and won two Super Bowls with the New York Giants, was only arrested for leaving scene of an accident.
At about 6:35PM, the Hialeah Police Department answered to a spun-out 1984 Ford van that was blocking the Palmetto Freeway.
Police discovered LT standing outside his car, which was absent a front tire … which was found at the scene of the crash.
“He said he had been involved in a crash,” Lt. James Durden of the Florida Highway Patrol said, adding he “thought he hit only a guard rail and not another car.”
Luckily, no one was injured and no one else but Taylor involved in the accident.
