The ex-model, Edis “Eddie” Kayalar who supposedly tried to blackmail Cindy Crawford for $100,000, surrendered to the police in his native country, Germany.
As authorities stated, Kayalar got a photograph of Crawfords and her husband Gerber’s daughter, taken by her nanny while playing cops and robbers. Later on, Kayalar supposedly blackmailed the couple to pay him $100,000 in exchange of not disclosing the photo to the media. Kayalar was charged of extortion last week and been deported to Germany, from where he continued to blackmail Crawford and Gerber.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Kayalar went to the Stuttgart police on Monday and turned himself in.
The couple’s representative stated that “Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford intend to pursue any and all available legal action against anyone who aids the perpetrator in the distribution or sale of the photograph of their daughter.
