Kristen Jaymes Stewart (born on April 9, 1990) is an American actress, most known for playing Bella Swan in Twilight, reprising her role in New Moon and Eclipse.
Stewart was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, having an older brother. She attended school until the seventh grade, continuing her education by correspondence, completing high school ever since.
Her acting career began when she was eight, after an agent noticed her performance in an elementary school’s Christmas play.
She got her first role in the movie The Thirteenth Year, which was a non-speaking role. Stewart had an important role in film Panic Room, movie that was mostly positively reviewed and her performance was also positively noticed.
She was next cast in the thriller Cold Creek Manor, but the film failed to be a box office hit. Stewart’s first starring role came with the children’s action-comedy Catch That Kid and also performing in the thriller Undertow.
Stewart’s most highly praised role was in the television film Speak (2004), playing the role of a high school freshman, performance that was greatly praised. In 2005, she appeared in the film Zathura. While the film was praised by critics, but her performance did not caught the media’s attention. The next year she appeared in film Fierce People, followed by the lead role in the thriller movie, The Messengers.
