Former child TV star, Brian Bonsall, 28, has been arrested again in Boulder, accused of hitting his best friend in the face. He is currently retained at the Boulder County Jail, scheduled to face court Wednesday.
Bonsall starred on the 1980s TV series “Family Ties” and lived in Boulder several years. He also appeared in “Star Trek: The Next Generation” in the 1990s.
He was arrested Saturday at the home of his friends by the police officers called to the apartment three times that night for “fighting in one of the upstairs units”. He is suspected of hitting his friend in the face with a broken stool.
Bonsall had several incidents with the police in Boulder, being arrested in 2004 for driving under the influence of alcohol and again in 2007 for assault on his girlfriend. He is also suspected by authorities of violating the conditions of his probation in 2008, while a probation officer was planning to propose at a court hearing that Bonsall to be sentenced to 60 days of work release. As he missed the court hearing, Bonsall had been wanted by Boulder police.
