Nicolas Cage is facing yet another financial problem, as Christina Fulton – mother of Cage’s eldest child Weston – is suing him for fraud and breach of contract, stating that she is in a more than $1.2 million debt, according to Los Angeles court papers.
Cage has already being sued for owing $6.3 million in back taxes and he defaulted on a $2 million loan. Cage has started to sell various properties, cars, yachts and several possessions to recover some of his losses.
Fulton, a former actress claims that Cage provided her a home in Los Angeles, in exchange for raising Weston and she was convinced that the home in on her name. Instead, in September Cage supposedly served her with a 60-day notice to leave the home. Fulton claims that due to Cage’s negligence she now owns the IRS over $1 million, after she already has a $250,000 unpaid credit card debt. She also claims that the credit card was supposed to be paid off on a regular basis by Cage. Fulton is now stating that her damages are well over $13 million.
Cage’s lawyer, Marty Singer declares PEOPLE: “This lawsuit is ridiculous and absurd. Nicolas Cage has given her approximately three million every year for many years, even though he was only obligated to pay her six thousand a month in child support.
We expect this lawsuit to be promptly thrown out.”
