Celebrities Deaths in 2009 appears to be more than we’re accustomed to but that may not be true. Michael Jackson was the most shocking, and Brittany Murphy the latest.

The celebrity passing of 2009: Michael Jackson, Karl Malden, Farrah Fawcett, Patrick Swayze, Natasha Richardson, Marilyn Chambers, Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, Dom DeLuise, Carl Ballantine, Billy Mays, David Carradine, Bea Arthur, Mary Travers of “Peter Paul & Mary,” John Hughes, Ed McMahon, Walter Cronkite and Arnold Stang. Also on the list were authors Frank McCourt, John Updike, and Dominick Dunne.

Which brings us to this question “did more celebrities die in 2009 then in the past years or because of the internet are we just more aware of celebrities deaths?

14. The Nasty Gosselin Divorce – it started out like the perfect big family, but when it was widely covered by the media and by a reality show all the dirty secrets started to appear. Kate Gosselin is not a saint either, but Jon was the ultimate douchebag here. No wonder he was ordered not to appear in the media.

13. Carrie Prejean Sex Tape – in these days who doesn’t have a sex tape? The divorce of a perfect family in front of the cameras was quite predictable. Carrie Prejean made to the list because of the several spoof videos of her sex tape.

12. Chris Brown Arrested for Battery Against Rihanna – it was a just a matter of time before someone to get Rihanna, as she is a sort of trashy woman who in the past crashed the wedding of her relative and even more, she was asked to leave because of her behavior. I am defending Chris Brown for what he did, but it is somehow understandable.

11. David Letterman Extortion Scandal – we all know that celebrities are often victims of various extortion, but it was surprising to find out that the producer of the Letterman’s show was the one who tried to blackmail him. Who knows the true face of Letterman outside his show?

10. Eric Dane from Grey’s Anatomy Sex Tape – the tape was rather surprising, but it wasn’t a real scandal. In fact, Dane was not humiliated or anything as it was a consensual act between adults. Dane was showed with his girlfriend and some other women in a threesome with him doing most of the filming.
