Charlie Sheen has been ordered to appear in court, as his attorney’s request for the actor’s to phone in testimony at an approaching hear was denied.
Earlier this week, his lawyer Richard Cummins filed a paper requesting that his client to avoid court in person. The court hearing is about a restraining order in connection with his domestic dispute in December with wife Brooke Mueller.
Sheen was ordered not to contact his wife after the incident in Aspen, Colorado, but the celebrity is eager to have the restraining order lifted. Sheen is simply reluctant to appear in court and face his wife Mueller. He wanted to testify by phone from Los Angeles, but on Thursday – January 7th 2010 – a judge ruled that he must testify in person at the hearing in Aspen.
The restraining order was issued following accusations the actor threatened Mueller with a knife and he is now facing charges of second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief.
