Cameron Diaz Biography, Filmography, PicturesCameron Michelle Diaz (born on August 30, 1972) is an American actress and a former model. She rose to fame in the 1990s with her roles in My Best Friend’s Wedding, The Mask and There’s Something About Mary. Diaz earned Golden Globe nominations for her roles in There’s Something About Mary, Being John Malkovich, Vanilla Sky and Gangs of New York.

Diaz was born in San Diego, California and attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School at the same time as rapper Snoop Dogg. She has an older sister, Chimene Diaz.

Diaz began her career at 16, as a fashion model, signing up with top modeling agency Elite Model Management. Following her graduation from high school, Diaz went to work in Japan. In the next few years, her job as a model took her around the world, modeling for famous designers, such as Calvin Klein or Levi’s. Diaz was featured on the cover of Seventeen magazine in the July 1990 issue.

Having no prior acting experience, Diaz auditioned for The Mask, at 21. after getting the lead female role, she started acting lessons without delay. In the following three years, she was cast in independent films, including The Last Supper, Feeling Minnesota and She’s the One. The turning point in her career represented the roles in My Best Friend’s Wedding and There Something About Mary, for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress – Musical or Comedy. Diaz was acclaimed for her role in Being John Malkovich, earning her Best Supporting Actress nominations at the Golden Globe, the BAFTA Awards and the SAG Awards.

Throughout the 1990 – 2000 period Diaz starred in several films, including A Life Less Ordinary, Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her, Any Given Sunday and the successful version of Charlie’s Angels. Her performance in Vanilla Sky earned her in 2001, nominations for Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards, the Critics’ Choice Awards and the AFI Awards. She was also the voice of Princess Fiona in Shrek that earned Diaz $10 million. Her role in Gangs of New York earned Diaz another Golden Globe nomination in 2003. Diaz became the third actress to make $20 million for a role, earning the sum for Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. She next appeared in Shrek 2, In Her Shoes and The Holiday.

Andrew Koenig body found in Vancouver park

Actor Andrew Koenig – missing since February 14 – took his own life, according to his father, following the discovery of his son’s body in a park in Vancouver, British Columbia on Thursday.

Koenig’s body was found dead by some friends of his, in their own search of Stanley Park, where Andrew Koenig preferred to walk, his father stated.

His parents reported him missing after failing to board a flight last week to Los Angeles from Vancouver. The Koenigs declared they got a “despondent tone” letter from their son last week.

Walter Koenig was with the friends searching Stanley Park Thursday morning and was not far away when his son was found.

Koenig, 41, starred in 25 episodes of “Growing Pains” between 1985 and 1989, as Richard “Boner” Stabone as well as in episodes of various other TV shows. He also appeared in roles in movies such as “InAlienable”, “NonSeNse”, “Batman: Dead End”, “The Theory of Everything” and on television in “G.I. Joe”, “Star Trek: Dep Space Nine”, “21 Jump Street”, “My Two Dads”, “My Sister Sam” or “Adam – 12”.

Koenig was also an activist, being arrested in 2008 at the Rose Bowl while demonstrating against U.S. participation in the 2008 Summer Olympics in China.
