Leif Garrett pleaded not guilty in Los Angeles in a drug possession case on Wednesday through the allegations of the musician and ex-teen heartthrob.

According to the defense attorney Andrew Flier, Garrett was abusively searched by authorities prior of his arrest on February 1, on suspicion of carrying heroin in the subway system of the city. Flier also says Garrett questions the argument he was jumpy and abundantly sweating, which endorsed his search and in the end his arrest.

Garrett, currently free on bail, had no discussions with the reporters.

The musician, 48, had several drug arrests since the peak of his popularity in the 1970s. Flier claims his client sought help following those drug arrests and although he accepted full responsibility, he is determined to fight the recent case.

Actor Gary Busey’s girlfriend gave birth to their first child, a son, Luke Samson Busey, according to ET.com.

Busey’s girlfriend, Steffanie Sampson, 40, gave birth to their son, weighting 6 pounds and 7 ounces, Tuesday morning.

“This feels like a drama. We feel so blessed and are overwhelmed with happiness at Luke’s arrival,” the new parents said in a statement.

The veteran actor, 65, starred in numerous movies, including “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot”, “Blood Sport”, “Barbarossa”, “A Star Is Born”, “The Firm”, “Point Break” or “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”. Busey also has another son, actor Jake Busey, 38.
