Hugh Laurie and Warner Music Group announced a deal to release a New Orleans-inspired blues album, the five-time Emmy nominee will be doing the vocals.
Laurie, who plays Dr. Gregory House on the hit drama, will join forces with guest musicians for his first album. Grammy winner Joe Henry is set to produce the album.
“I am drunk with excitement at this opportunity,” Laurie said in a statement. “I know the history of actors making music is a checkered one, but I promise no one will get hurt. I am particularly thrilled to be working with Joe Henry, who has produced some of my favorite records of all time, and I can’t wait to get started.”
