Mary Marg Helgenberger (born on November 16, 1958) is an American actress, known as Catherine Willows in the drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and as K.C. Koloski in the drama China Beach.
She was born in Fremont, Nebraska and attended Kearney State College in Kearney, Nebraska, then attended School of Speech in Evanston, Illinois, earning a B.S. degree in Speech and Drama.
She started out as a local news weather girl in North Bend, Nebraska. Soon after completing college, she got her first professional acting role on the soap opera Ryan’s Hope (1982-1986). She guest starred in an episode of the series Spenser: For Fire, legal drama Matlock and the drama thirtysomething, and was also a regular on the drama comedy series Shell Game (1987).
