Blake Lively (born on August 25, 1987) is an American actress, mostly known as Serena van der Woodsen in the television series Gossip Girl.
She was born in Los Angeles and in her childhood, she attended 13 different schools. She also attended Burbank High School, Burbank and intended to attend Stanford University before deciding to pursue a career in acting.
She started acting at age 11, appearing in the film Sandman (1998), directed by her father. She next appeared in 2005 in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, alongside America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel, performance which earned her Teen Choice Award nomination for Choice Movie Breakout – Female. A year later, she co-starred in Accepted (2006) with Justin Long. In 2007, she played the role of Anabelle in Elvis and Anabelle.
