Martin Mull (born on August 18, 1943) is an American actor, comedian, painter and recording artist.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in North Ridgeville, Ohio, moving at 15 with his family to New Canaan, Connecticut. He studied painting and graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design.
He performed stand-up comedy and recorded humorous songs for a period and got his first famous role in 1974, in the soap opera Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, role which led to comedy talk-shows Fernwood 2-Night (1977) and America 2-Night (1978). In the 1970s, he appeared in several Pizza Hut commercials about different ways to eat a pizza. He starred in a sitcom, Domestic Life, alongside Megan Follows and on the television series Roseanne. He also had a guest appearance on the game show Hollywood Squares, while in 2008 and 2009 he guest starred in episodes of the TV series Gary Unmarried.
