Sophie Charlene Akland Monk (born on December 14 1979) is an English born Australian pop singer, model and actress. She is a former member of the female pop group Bardot. In her solo career, she released an album Calendar Girl. In recent times, she tried out acting in such films as Date Movie and Click.

Her professional music career started in 1999, when she responded to an advertisement for an Australian television talent show, which aimed to create a new girl group. Eventually, after several signing and dancing workshops, she was chosen as a member of the group, named Bardot. The group debuted on 1 position with the first single and first debut album. Further singles were released and the group embarked in August on their first national tour.

In July 2001, their first single, ASAP, was released from their second album. The album, Play It Like That, debuted at 16. In 2002, they embarked on their second national tour. The group disbanded in May.
