James MacArthur, (December 8, 1937 – October 28, 2010) Hawaii Five-0 original “Danno” which aired from 1968 to 1979 died today at age 72. His agent, Richard Lewis, said he died in Florida of “natural causes.”
He was not the first choice of Danno when the original “Five-0″ pilot was shot it was played by Tim O’Kelly.
MacArthur was the adopted son of playwright Charles MacArthur and actress Helen Hayes.
He attended Harvard University, but dropped out to pursue an acting career.
MacArthur had a career spanning stage and screen. His memorable film roles include Clint Eastwood’s Hang ‘Em High, Swiss Family Robinson, Kidnapped, The Bedford Incident and The Battle of the Bulge.
He was married three times. He leaves behind his wife of more than 25 years, Helen Beth Duntz, four children and seven grandchildren.

Lisa Blount (July 1, 1957 – October 25, 2010), the star of Chrystal, and An Officer and a Gentleman has died aged 53.
The actress/producer was found dead on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at her home in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The Pulaski County Coroner, Garland Camper declared that Blount most probably died on Monday, October 25, 2010 (two days earlier) and that no signs of foul play were found.
She was mostly known for her work in the movie An Officer And A Gentleman (1982), alongside Richard Gere, in the horror movie Prince of Darkness (1987) and from the television show Profit.
She later became a successful producer and received an Academy Award along with her actor/director husband Ray McKinnon for their short film, The Accountant (2001).
