Charlie Sheen, the Two and a Half Men star was released from hospital after a psychiatric evaluation. He allegedly caused damage to his New York Plaza Hotel room on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, and was found by the police in a “state of drunkenness”, according to BBC News.
Sheen, 45, was visiting his former wife Denise Richards and their two children in New York, who were staying at the same hotel. According to security, the Hollywood actor became ‘disorderly’ and authorities were alerted. Sheen left with the police voluntarily and admitted himself into a hospital to undergo psychiatric evaluation.
According to police commissioner Raymond Kelly, “No arrests were made. It’s not a complaint” while Sheen’s publicist said the actor had suffered “an adverse allergic reaction to some medication”.
Sheen and actress Richards, 39, divorced with resentment in 2006 after being married for four years. In August this year, Sheen pleased guilty to assault on his third wife, Brooke Mueller.
