For people wondering about what is Paula Abdul doing these days, the answer is: she is launching a new casting website, called AuditionBooth. The website, which is in fact an excellent idea, hosts the chance for users to upload audition videos for casting directors to sort through them. Although it is a free service, users are able to purchase premium membership and thus they can replace or redo audition videos and obtain a better placement in casting agent’s inboxes.
The website is also the host of a blog from Paula Abdul with advice. TVGuide.com reports that “Telemundo, Reveille, Screenvision, MasterChef and women’s clothing firm Dots, which is working on a brand campaign with former Idol champ Jordin Sparks, are among the first partners offering auditioning opportunities on the site.”
