‘The Mentalist” star Simon Baker is ready to become the highest-paid dramatic TV actor. His recent deal is said to pay him a total of $30 million, meaning more than $430,000 per episode.
Baker, 41, has beat out Laurence Fishburn (“CSI”) and Hugh Laurie (“House”) to become the highest-paid dramatic TV actor.
Making the deal even better, Baker is also being granted a producer credit, that will profit him a huge share of the syndication earnings.
Baker on the show, acts as crime advisor Patrick Jane, a paranormal with strange abilities of observation and the power to manipulate people.
“The Mentalist” is expected to make 10s of millions when it enters reruns on cable some time in 2011 or ’12.
Baker,has two homes in Australia, but spends a lot of his time in Los Angeles with his wife, Rebecca Rigg and three children.
He isn’t yet in Charlie Sheen territory, Sheen earns a reported $1.2 million an episode.
