Own a part of Bette Midler. The singer/actress is allowing her fans a chance to own rare memorabilia from her private collection. Midler most iconic costumes are set to be auctioned off .
The noted mermaid outfit, her couturier clothing, colorful headdresses, gold records, jewellery and art are among the items set to be on the auction block this November.
The dress from the cover of her 1972 debut album The Divine Miss M is likely to get as much as $3,000, while the Valentino gown she wore to the Academy Awards in 1992 is set to bring in $1,500.
Proceeds from the auction will go to the New York Restoration Project, an organisation Midler set up in 1995 to help improve parks and community gardens in the state.
The Midler items can be seen at Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills till November 11, (2011).
