Sandra Bullock Biography, Filmography, PicturesSandra Annette Bullock (born on July 26, 1964) is an American actress who rose to fame in the 1990s with films such as Speed or While You Were Sleeping. Bullock starred in 2009, in her most financially successful films, The Proposal and The Blind Side. Her performance in The Blind Side earned her the Golden Globe Award in the Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama category.

Bullock was born in Arlington, Virginia and lived in Nuremberg, Germany until she was 12, being fluent in German. As a child, Bullock studied ballet and vocal arts, having smaller parts in her mother’s opera productions. She attended Washington-Lee High School, graduating in 1982 and registered with East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. In the spring of 1986, she quit school just three credits short of graduation, for her acting career. Bullock moved to Manhattan where she worked as bartender, coat checker or cocktail waitress to support herself. However, she completed her coursework later on at East Carolina University.

While in New York, Bullock appeared in many students films being cast later on in an Off-Broadway play No Time Flat. Her performance caught the attention of director Alan J. Levi who cast Bullock in the TV movie Bionic Showdown: The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman (1989). She landed several small roles in numerous independent films and a lead role in the television version of the film Working Girl (1990).

Bullock had a first notable appearance in a movie, in the Demolition Man (1993), starring Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes. Her role led to her memorable performance in Speed a year later. In the late 1990s she was already a high-level movie star, with a couple of successes behind her, such as While You Were Sleeping or Miss Congeniality.

Bullock was voted by People magazine as one of 50 Most Beautiful People in the World in 1996 and 1999 and ranked 58 in Empire magazine’s Top 100 Movie Stars of All Time list.

Catherine Bell Biography, Filmography, PicturesCatherine Lisa Bell (born on August 14, 1968) is a British-born American actress, mostly known as Lt. Colonel Sarah MacKenzie of the TV series JAG from 1997 to 2005. Presently she stars in the successful TV series Army Wives, playing the role of Denise Sherwood.

Bell was born in London, United Kingdom and as her parents divorced she moved to Los Angeles, California with her mother when she was three. At twelve she became naturalized citizen of the United States.

Bell appeared in several TV advertisements as a child. She attended University of California, Los Angeles, wanting to be a biomedical engineer or a physician, but she quitted school for her modeling career.

Bell fluently speaks Persian and English. She likes skiing, snowboarding and kick-boxing. She even practiced kick-boxing for more than ten years. Bell met actor and production assistant Adam Beason on the filming set of Death Becomes Her in 1992 and they got married in 1994. Bell and Beason have a daughter, Gemma born on April 16, 2003.

On June 3, 2007 she was the grand marshal of the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race held at Dover International Speedway.

She had thyroid cancer at the age of 20 and her thyroid was surgically removed. Bell grew up as Roman Catholic attending an all-girls Catholic School but later she become a Scientologist. She was a supporter of Scientology’s Hollywood Education and Literacy Project.

Bell appeared in a Scientology music video “United” in February 2006.

One of Bell’s first modeling jobs was an extended project in Japan. On her return to California, she began studying acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse with Milton Katselas.

She got her first TV acting role on line on the sitcom Sugar and Spice in 1990. Bell debuted on film as a body double for Isabella Rossellini in Death Becomes Her (1992). Among her first TV roles was on the sitcom Dream On in 1994.

Starting from 1997, she starred as U.S. Marine Corps Major Sarah MacKenzie on the successful TV series JAG. Previously she also appeared in a late nightadult series Hot line.

In 2003, Bell was a supporting actress in the comedy Bruce Almighty, reprising the role with a cameo appearance in the 2007 sequel Evan Almighty. She starred in the Sci Fi Channel miniseries The Triangle, presented in December 2005. Her performance earned her a Saturn Award nomination of Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films in the Best Supporting Actress on Television category.

In 2007, Bell appeared in the ensemble drama series Army Wives in the role of Denise Sherwood. Recently, she got the main role in Hallmark’s The Good Witch (2008) as well as in its sequel, The Good Witch Garden (2009). Bell was also the co-executive producer of both movies.
