Presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCainwill be featured in a pair of comic books based on their lives the Fall.
The stories were independently illustrated and researched by an experienced team of artists and writers. San Diego-based publisher IDW Publishing will release the books to comic book shops on October 8th.
“We’re not doing anything that is sensational here,” IDW special projects editor Scott Dunbier says. “We’re sticking to the facts.”
This gives a whole new meaning “To see you in the funny papers.”

What do you get when you mix Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Barack Obama? The latest John McCain ad. In his constant effort to try and destroy the amazing following that Obama has, McCain has created this ad with the hopes of making people feel as if he is nothing more than a celebrity and that he will make a horrible President. In essence, he is comparing Barack Obama to Hilton and Spears. Would you want either of them to be your President? I know I wouldn’t want them.
So, it brings about a question that I have been thinking of since I first saw this advertisement. Should celebrities be allowed in ads? Do you think that Hilton and Spears should be thrown into these ads or do you think that they, along with all other celebrities, should be kept out of these advertisements?
Part of me says keep them the hell out. Barack Obama is not, under any circumstances, comparable to Paris Hilton or Britney Spears. Barack Obama is a respectable man. What is respectable about those two women? They can definitely get on the front page of tabloids like no one’s business. If that’s a feat, then hey, compare the two of them. But, I bet I could get on the front page of a tabloid too if I did something horrendous.
Look…I know John McCain is getting desperate, but don’t compare politicians to celebrities. What next? A website like Facebook? Oh wait…BarackBook.com already exists. McCain…Stop with these kind of ads and focus on the issues. Focus on what you’re good at: doing something political. These ads are just ridiculous. Keep the celebrities off the ads and stop comparing Obama to a celebrity.
So much for a clean, respectable campaign, huh? At least one of the politicians isn’t using stupid ads to try and win the election. Oh well.

So…The scantily clad pictures were not enough. Oh no. If those had been enough, we may actually have some peace and quiet from all this Miley Cyrus news. But of course, the fifteen year old girl (whore) needs to get her name out there in the news EVEN MORE! This just in…She’s not auctioning herself out to anyone for charity. Well I don’t condone affairs. In no way do I think that having an affair is a noble, honorable, nice thing to do. But, if you are going to have an affair and you’re really going to be so stupid to do it, for God’s sake, don’t get caught! Or, more importantly…At least TRY and hide the fact that you’re having an affair from the general public.
Unfortunately, Sienna Miller cannot seem to keep her top on or Balthazar’s hands off her. Balthazar Getty, father to four, and husband to Rosetta, has been seen in numerous occasions now with Sienna Miller. As friends? Oh no. Sienna has been seen near naked or naked, his hands all over her and the same goes for Balthazar. One photographer got a picture of Sienna grabbing Balthazar’s balls and Balthazar cupping Sienna’s boobs.
Alright, alright…Are you two just plain DUMB?! Do you have no respect for anyone but yourselves? First off, you’re married Balthazar. If you want out of the marriage, get the hell out of the marriage. Secondly, you’ve got four kids. If you’re at all a caring Father, you wouldn’t be doing this and making your kids’ mother (your WIFE) leave the nation she lived in because of all the damn publicity that has come from this.

I don’t like affairs and I don’t think they’re good. But, if you want to be with another woman (or man), leave your significant other. And if you’re just so damn afraid to do that, DON’T GET CAUGHT! So what do you get when you take my childhood toy (the Barbie) and mix it with Miley Cyrus? Just joking…But, what do you get when you take my childhood toy and mix it with some S&M? You got it…S&M Barbie. Every girl’s favorite doll has suddenly become every parent’s nightmare when it comes to their kids learning about sex. “Mommy, why is she wearing leather and fishnets? Can I wear that?” Boy, that’s a catastrophe waiting to happen.
So, what does all of this mean for those of us who remember Barbie when all she cared about was getting a date with Ken? Means nothing. What does it mean if you hated Barbie in the first place? That you have ammunition against her. The religious group, Christian Voice, said, “Barbie has always been on the tarty side and this is taking it too far. A children’s doll in sexually suggestive clothing is irresponsible – it’s filth.”
I don’t think I’d agree with them about her always having been on the tarty side. I mean yes, she always wore short skirts and stuff, but how many girls do we know that wear short skirts. Does that mean that ANY girl that wears a mini-skirt is a prostitute? That’s insulting. Just because you don’t look good in a mini doesn’t mean you should bash the others who do.

Anyways…Today, Miley Cyrus did an interview with TV guide. Cool. While talking about what she is working on, her new album release (please don’t make me listen to that shit) and all of the other stuff, some interesting questions and statements came up. Two in particular come to mind.
“On what she’d like to work on in the future: “I’d love to do a younger, cleaner version of Sex and the City.”
No way. A younger, cleaner version of Sex and the City? Alright, alright…So let me get this straight. Instead of grown adults having sex, you want it to be TEENAGERS having sex? Cool, cool…Wait…Cleaner too. So, you’ll have real big emphasis on the guys putting a condom on and all of that? You know, to prevent against getting the herpes, syphilis, HIV, and other STDs that come from having too much sex. How the HELL can you have a clean version of Sex and the City. Listen to the title! SEX!
Okay, okay…So, maybe it’ll be a little cleaner. No, I take that back. Any show you with that might have the mention of sex is going to be dirty. Why? You’re a whore. Picture anyone?
Then she says: “I don’t dwell on negativity. I want to be a positive role model.”
Rock on…I don’t either. But then again, when people look up to me, it’s because I’m actually a role model. Stop taking off your clothes and go plant a tree or something. Then you’ll be a role model.

It’s no secret that porn exists on the internet and, according to a recent study conducted by GOOD Magazine, we like it. The numbers speak volumes: 12% of the websites that exist are pornographic, 35% of internet downloads are for pornographic material, and 25% of search engines queries are for porn.
Want more proof? The U.S. generated $2.84 billion in revenue from internet porn in 2006, 89% of internet porn pages are produced in the U.S., 72% of internet porn users are men, and 70% of internet porn traffic occurs during the workday.
The study, conducted by Queen’s University in Belfast, Ireland, also revealed that 11% of Brits, 10% of Singaporeans, 8% of Aussies, and only 3% of the Dutch do the same. Clearly we Americains like porn, and we like it free. Reports reveal that pornographic DVD sales and rentals were down 15% to 25% in 2006, and free internet sites such as PornoTube.com are being blamed.
