The stars of the 3-D movie ‘Alice in Wonderland’ endured the rain for the movie’s world premiere Tuesday night.

Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway faced the rain while they walked the green carpet of Leicester Square, London for the special screening of the movie, event that was attended by Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Regarding the movie, Anne, who performs as the White Queen, said it was different from usual adaptation of the Lewis Carroll novel and she believes fans will love it.

Other stars of the Disney movie attended the event, such as Barbara Windsor, the voice of Dormouse, Mia Wasikowski, the teenage Alice, or Avril Lavigne who’s music has been used for the soundtrack of the movie.

Prince Charles and Camilla met with the cast before the screening took place, with Charles asking Johnny, Mad Hatter in the movie, if he minded watching his own performance on the screen.

“I normally don’t” was the answer of the actor.

The Ivy League university will present its Hasty Puding Woman of the Year on Anne Hathaway on January 28 at a parade and ceremony, according to organizers.

The Devil Wears Prada star, 27, was named to honor by Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals for her “contribution to entertainment”.

Hathaway, who starred in films such as Becoming Jane, Rachel Getting Married or Brokeback Mountain, was selected because of the her wide range of roles on screen and on the stage.

A spokesman for the group stated the The Harvard Crimson student newspaper, “That theater aspect really hit home for us, for the Pudding, and we’re so excited for her to come.”

The group’s man of the year identity is not known yet.

A year before, Renée Zellweger and James Franco were given golden pudding pots, marking a tradition that started in 1795 when Harvard members of the group promised to bring “a pot of hasty pudding” to every meeting.
