Aykroyd talks on Ghostbusters SequelDan Aykroyd – star and screenwriter – claims the script for the Ghostbusters sequel is nearly finished and he is convinced the film is going to be a huge success.

The four stars of the original Ghostbusters, Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis, are said to have signed for the third film, 21 years behind the second hit cinemas in 1989.

With some time ago, Murray insisted there are no plans for a follow-up, but Aykroyd now stated the script is almost completed and he is sure Murray will be happy with it.

He explained Britain’s Daily Express, “I think Bill was concerned that the writing on Ghostbusters 3 would not be up to standard but I’m working on the script now and Bill has the comic role of a lifetime.”

Aykroyd also admits this is probably the last film in the franchise for the initial line-up, “My character’s eyesight is shot, I’ve got a bad knee, a bad hip – I can’t lift the Psychotron Accelerator any more. We need young legs, new minds, new Ghostbusters”.

Bill Murray Injured During TV Stunt

Author: Sami  /  Category: Celebrity Gossip, Celebrity News

Bill Murray InjuredBill Murray was bleeding from a head wound after injuring himself during a ‘dumpster dive’ stunt for a U.S. television show.

The Ghostbusters actor jumped into a makeshift dumpster swimming pool full with garbage, as a part of a skit for the Late Show with David Letterman to make fun of the official plans for trash-bin swimming holes in New York City.

But Murray hit his head in the jump and the show’s set was covered with blood. Nevertheless, Murray continued the interview with the host, with the producers patching up the injury during a break in filming.

According to a rep for the New York Post, “He did hit his head on the dumpster and was bleeding during the interview with Letterman, but the producers patched him up in the commercial break.”

The actor later cancelled plans to take part in a screening of his recent film Get Low in Manhattan to recover from his injury.
