Author: Sami  /  Category: Celebrity Gossip

Helen Mirren Speaks about Cosmetic SurgeryHelen Mirren is famous for her natural, not enhanced beauty. Nevertheless, the Queen Oscar winner claims she is aware of the pressures women experience to turn back the clock with surgical procedures.

The actress, 64, says the British morning show GMTV, “You go, ‘I don’t want to look at that face anymore,’ and I understand that, absolutely.”

She is not judging women undergoing cosmetic treatment to look younger, saying “I think people should be allowed to do whatever they want to make themselves feel happy.”

Mirren is one of those very rare celebrities that feel comfortable in her 60-something skin. Recently her famous confidence was tested when her body was thoroughly examined by the Madame Tussauds waxworks museum. The told GMTV, “To be measured by calipers, every inch of you, it’s a bit intimidating.”

Mirren had a quick look at the upcoming wax figurine that will be unveiled in April. “It was absolutely like having yourself next to yourself,” she tells. “It was very weird.”
