Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy have split but they remained friends. According to an insider close to the Ghost Whisperer stars, they did not split over infidelity, as it was a mutual decision.

PEOPLE quoted the source as “They just sort of looked at each other and said, ‘We like each other and we make each other laugh, but this isn’t for the long-term.’ ”

The busy work schedule might have contributed to the split of the couple. Hewitt is starring and producing Ghost Whisperer, making preparations for an approaching Lifetime movie, plus preparing to promote her book, The Day I Shot Cupid, set to appear on March 23. The book offers advice on love and relationship and among other things, on breakups too.

According to the same source, in spite of their split, their professional relationship has no drama on-set.

Charlie Sheen pleaded not guilty to charges of domestic violence charges Monday at his trial in Pitkin County District Court. Almost three months ago, his wife cold Colorado police at 911 telling them Sheen threatened to kill her with a knife.

Colorado attorney Richard Cummins, representing Sheen presented the plea.

The “Two and a Half Men” star is charged with menacing, assault and criminal mischief. For menacing he faces a possible sentence of one to three years in prison.

A jury trial is scheduled for July 21 2010.

Sheen appeared in court with a black suit, white shirt and black tie and made conversation with a deputy before the start of the hearing.

No comments were made by Sheen, Cummins or attorney Steve Cochran of Los Angeles as they left the hearing.

Brooke declared to the police that Sheen threatened her after she told him she wants to get divorced.

Sheen denies threatening his wife and told officers they had argued and they slapped each other on the arms and that he snapped her eyeglasses in front of her.

After a week of Sheen’s arrest their attorneys stated that Brooke and Sheen wanted to patch things up with Sheen’s lawyer requesting the judge to change the restraining order preventing them to contact each other.

As the judge agreed, they reunited and hugged in a courtroom in Aspen.

Brooke’s attorney Yale Galanter said Brooke is determined the charges against Sheen to be dropped.
