1. He’s honest

This aspect is extremely important. You need to trust the man you will marry, so if he is not honest with you, he is not good for marriage. If he has lied or cheated on you now, he is not likely to be able to keep the promise, to love and to cherish you.

2. He is not a slacker

If it is Saturday afternoon and your man is still sleeping – because he has been drinking with his friends all night long – in his mother’s basement, in the middle of a mountain of laundry… Well, if he is still a slacker, it is not probable he will change, and I am sure you do not want such a man as your husband.

3. He is not commitment – phobic

If he needed three years of solid dating to call you his girlfriend and he is always making a face when a friend of his is getting married, he is probable a commitment phobic and definitely not husband material. On the other hand, if he has no problems introducing you as his girlfriend, he is husband material.

I really don’t believe the old saying that women love bad guys, while the good guys always finish last. I find it hard to understand what’s wrong with a guy whom is nice with you. Dating is dangerous, that is certain, so here are some tips to spot a nice guy and certain warning signs to watch out for.

1. He is respectful with all women. Any guy who shows no respect for women in general, is definitely not a keeper, and it is only a matter of time before he will display the same attitude to you. Nevertheless, if he is typically thoughtful to women, he will most probably treat you well.

2. He is paying attention to your point of view and never talks you over. Most probably he will not tell you that you are wrong, but instead will merely suggest the reasons of his disagreement. A good guy will never continuously tell you that you are wrong, more even in front of other people.

3. He loves his mother but doesn’t allow her to dictate to him. A guy who is still tied way to close to his mother is not a good guy to date, as his mother will always ensure that you are only second best, because she wants to be the most important women in his son’s life.
