Country singer Shania Twain was honored with a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
Shania Twain has joked, “Why is a girl from Windsor, Ontario getting a star?” she laughed. “I really don’t know – it’s a small miracle to be honest that I am standing here!”
The 45-year-old Grammy winning country singer Walk of Fame star is located in front of the W Hollywood Hotel.
Twain has won five Grammys and remains one of the best female country artist of all time, with eight No. 1 songs and has sold over 80 million albums worldwide.
Twain said later in the ceremony. “Our job is to make you happy and entertain you, come thick or thin – and I can tell you that I do that with the greatest of pleasure. Thank you all so much!”

Comic book icon Stan Lee, creator of such great Marvel Comics characters as Spider Man, Iron Man, X-Men, The Fantastic Four and The Incredible Hulk, has received the 2,428th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday January 4, 2011.
The 88 year old Lee told reporters, “Would you believe I’m on the same block as Paul Newman and Sophia Loren?… I really still can’t believe it. I think they have me confused with someone else, but I’m not gonna tell them!”
“One good thing about it: Maybe now I’ll be able to get cameos of more than 30 seconds in length,” deadpans Lee. The comic book guru, has done dozens of cameos over the years. “With my new elevation to legendhood, maybe I’ll rate a full minute from now on!”
His comic books have been sold in 75 countries and in 25 languages.
When he was asked about current projects, his response was “The Avengers.” The movie is set to open on May 4th, 2012.
