Mischa Barton Loses Lawsuit $90,000

Mischa Barton LawsuitThe OC actress Mischa Barton employed a private nursing company for reasons unidentified and during that time she scored nearly $90,000 in medical care, money she’s now having to repay reported TMZ.

The site reports that the 25-year-old star ran up the big bill with Doctor’s Choice Nursing but the money was never paid.

Doctor’s Choice Nursing claims that the struggling actress incurred a bill of $89,930.57. They sued for the unpaid fees, plus two years’ worth of interest,which totaled to over $95,000.

However, a spokesperson for the star said she was not informed of the lawsuit, adding: ‘This is the first we have heard of it.’

Barton previously attributed her mental health issues to bungled surgery on her wisdom teeth. It’s unknown whether the dental operation had been performed by Doctor’s Choice Nursing.

Rihanna Sued Over S&M Video

Celebrity photographer David LaChapelle is suing pop diva Rihanna claiming her new video for S&M was “directly derived” from images he’d taken.

The lawsuit, was made public on Monday February 14, 2011 states: “The music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to the LaChapelle works.”

The court documents revealed the R&B beauty’s is being sued by LaChapelle for reportedly copying his eight of his works, including a shot in which she poses against a blue background with a piece of candy on her tongue.

The papers go on to accuse Rihanna of copying the “composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting” of his pictures in her promo, which was directed by Melina Matsoukas.

The singer, has sold over 25 million albums worldwide with singles such as “What’s my name,” and “Umbrella.”

LaChapelle, has worked for top publications Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, and GQ, is demanding unspecified damages.

Reps for Rihanna has yet to comment.
