English actor Orlando Bloom has just revealed he is dyslexic.

Wednesday, speaking at the Child Mind Institute, said his dyslexia is “an ongoing struggle” New York Daily News reported. “I have more trouble studying scripts and memorizing lines than most [other actors].”

Bloom, 33, said while growing up his mother helped him a lot to face his disorder.

“My mom used to tell me, ‘If you read 50 books, I’ll get you a motorbike,’” he laughed. “So it inspired me to read a lot and work through [my dyslexia]. But I never quite got to 50. And I never got that motorbike!”

Dyslexia did not cause him problems in high school, saying he was quite popular with the girls.

When asked if having a girlfriend made him less distracted – when he was younger – he laughed and said, “No!”

Then, glancing at his girlfriend, model Miranda Kerr, added, “Now yes. Definitely yes. Yes!”

Spanish actress Penelope Cruz is set to play Johnny Depp’s love interest in the fourth installment in the box office hit ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ series.

Cruz and Depp last played together as husband and wife in the 2000 movie, ‘Blow’ according to ‘Contactmusic’.

Cruz, 35, will play the role of the daughter of British actor Ian McShane, who is Depp’s new opponent as pirate Blackbeard in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean” On Stranger Tides’, producer Jerry Bruckheimer said.

Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom who both played in the previous three parts of the hit franchise will not be back for the fourth as they consider their character’s storylines reached the end.
