Robin Hood (2010) Synopsis, Movie Trailer, CastIn 12th century England Robin is an archer in King Richard’s army. After Richard the Lionheart’s death Robin and three of is companions Alan A’Dale, Will Scarlett, and Little John try to return home.

On their way they discover that Sir Godfrey is trying to assassinate the King on orders from the Philip II of France. When Sir Godfrey notices that the King is already dead and sees Robin and his companions coming he flees the scene.

Before they leave, Robin and his men steel the armor from the dead knights and a dying Knight, Sir Robert Loxley makes Robin promise that he will return a sword to his father.

When Robin arrives in England (pretending to be Sir Loxley) he is appointed to inform the Royal Family about the death of the King and attend the coronation of King John.

King John doesn’t show any compassion for his poor kingdom on the contrary he demands high taxes to be collected. He sends Sir Godfrey on the way with the task of collecting taxes.

What the King doesn’t know is that Sir Godfrey works for the French King and uses his authority to start a civil war.

Robin and his men go to Nottingham and find Sir Walter, Loxley’s father who asks Robin to continue pretending to be his son so that the King doesn’t confiscate their land.

Meanwhile, Godfrey managed to create so much agitation that the people of northern Barons march to the King, but his plans fail and the King manages to reunite his people.

As the French invade the south coast of England the English army meets them and they are victorious in the resulting battle.

King John keeps his word signing the Magna Carta and proclaims Robin as an outlaw. Robin moves to Sherwood Forest and forms the Merry Men of Sherwood Forest.
