The ‘Sex and the City’ star is a fashion executive at Halston Heritage from earlier this year and states it was an offer she couldn’t refuse.
Parker said: “There was every reason to say no, and there were very compelling reasons to say yes. It’s an exciting time at that company. It has a wonderful legacy, and I couldn’t say no, and I’m figuring it out.”
The actress, 45, currently living New York City, also said: “It was 1977 in New York City, and you couldn’t be alive and not know the name Halston.”
Parker, who is married to actor Matthew Broderick and has three children, is aware that her executive role means a constant struggle to balance her work and motherhood, but she is confident she will handle it.
She declared to America’s Vogue magazine: “Does it scare me? Am I intimidated? Am I challenged? That’s kind of the way I’ve always made decisions “Luckily, the Halston offices are about a 10 minute walk from my house.”
