The Spice Girls are back together, due to great demand to see them reunite and they are set to perform at the Olympic Games in 2012.

Simon Fuller, their manager declared that Spice Girls will open the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. The Mirror quoted Simon as saying “They stand for so much in British music history and I can’t think of better time for them to get back together for another performance”.

Simon also said that “The demand for them as a band is as strong as ever.”

There were rumors earlier this year about the Spice Girls reunion, but the rumors were continually denied by various members of the band.

The Spice Girls are back together to put the story of their life on stage in a musical show, according to a news report.

Rumors about their next comeback, following their 2007 comeback world tour, started as the four of them were seen dining together in London.

The speculations continued as Melanie Brown stated that the Spice Girls are working again together, without giving any further details on it.

The British Daily Mirror report says that the girls are in talks to turn their life story into a musical, with the Spice Girls being interpreted by almost nameless actresses.

The Spice Girls rose to fame in 1996, selling over 65 million records. They split in 2000 following the departure of Halliwell.
