Victoria Beckham states her spring/summer 2011 collection is made to celebrate “the curves of a woman’s figure”.

The former singer, now fashion designer – who launched her fifth collection on Sunday (September 12 2010) – announced the range of dresses was created to help women look and feel their best.

Victoria said, “What’s alluring for me this season are the curves of a woman’s figure – sensual volume and a defined silhouette that allows for freedom of movement.”

The show also debuted her first bag creation, and she was heard saying at the fashion show, “A Beckham can replace your Birkin.”

Other designers to have presented their spring/summer 2011 ranges include Alexander Wang, and Michelle Obama’s designer.

British Police are investigating after thieves stole Victoria Beckam’s most recent fashion collection from a delivery van. The thieves took couture dresses worth $630,000 that were being taken to London’s Heathrow Airport to be shipped to the United States, where they were set to go on sale at sophisticated New York store Neiman Marcus.

Following a stop to make a delivery, the driver of the van, on his return found the lock on the van broken and surprised two men transporting boxes of frocks out of the truck. The driver, whose name was not made public, states he was beat-up and injured after the thieves knocked him down and got away.

Australia’s Courier-Mail newspaper quoted a source as, “This operation was meticulously planned. The thieves must feel they can make a fortune selling the collection on the black market. Victoria was informed straight away about the incident and was shocked and deeply saddened, although her first priority was the well-being of the driver.”

The news was confirmed by a representative of the star and said that in case the dresses will not be found, the collection might have to be re-made.
